Stephen's Challenge for

St Aloysius' College

Our hero, Stephen McFadyen, who is a current parent, is doing the Fan Dance Race  winter edition on Saturday 5th January 2019 and is generously fundraising for St Aloysius' College.  All monies raised will go towards co-curricular activities for pupils in receipt of a Bursary.  Stephen said,

My idea of raising funds was so a child in receipt of a Bursary

wasn’t being left out of an activity, like an overseas sports tournament,

or taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award”

The Fan Dance is a gruelling 24km SAS Selection test march staged over Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons. The infamous march is the world’s oldest Special Forces test and is used as the first major indicator of whether a candidate has the physical and mental aptitude to complete the legendary Selection course.  Aside from the race aspect of this life-changing event, just getting to the end is an accomplishment and something of which to be immensely proud.  For Stephen, the Challenge starts right now, with diet and many miles of hard training ahead of him.

If you'd like to sponsor Stephen for his Challenge and help raise funds to increase opportunities for our Bursary Pupils,  you can complete the form below - many thanks.
